In 2022, Julie and Andreas cycled (almost) around the world on their gravel bikes.
Over a period of approximately 8 months, they cycled from Denmark across Germany and Eastern Europe, across Turkey and Georgia, crossed the desert and mountains of Central Asia, cycled from Los Angeles to Washington DC and followed the European Atlantic coast from Lisbon back to Copenhagen. A total of just under 21,000 km in the saddle.
They have visited 23 countries by bike so far, meeting people from all over the world and immersing themselves in their cultures.
In 2023, they threw themselves into ultra cycling, and also cycled from Copenhagen to the North Cape during the summer holidays.
They dream of spreading cycling – not only as a means of transport and for daily exercise – but also as a means of traveling and experiencing.
They have therefore prepared a lecture which:
1. Provides an introduction to what ‘bikepacking’ is and what it is like to travel by bike
2. Covers thier best and toughest experiences of crossing the world by bike
3. Contains a little help on how to go on adventures more practically
You can look foward to an inspiring and entertaining lecture by Julie and Andreas.
The lecture is held in Danish, and is free when you have bought a ticket to the fair.
