NCCRcycles Sweden

NCCRcycles is the bicycle focused branch of NCCR Sweden. We are a family business in the Swedish Hälsingland with decades of experience in motorcycle racing on steel chassis we designed, built and raced throughout the years. That’s how we encountered SSAB’s Docol Tube R8, a Swedish high-strength steel which is used worldwide in the automotive industry and has all the best qualities of steel like reliability, repairability and sustainability, while being stronger and easier to handle than their direct competitor Chrome Molybdenum (no gas filling of the tubes required for instance).

Why steel?

All our chassis, be it our cargobike Packoped or our Adventurer Gyttja are always built in Docol and Strenx, because we firmly believe that our bicycles should live “forever”. We don’t want to contribute to the ever growing landfill, but instead give you the freedom and reliability of a frame that can last a lifetime.

Modularity

All our bicycles are designed, constructed and built in-house in Delsbo, Hälsingland. Having a frame that can last you a lifetime might get boring and we have encountered many different needs that we can meet with our different models. So we decided to construct all our bicycles modular which allows you to change things and up-/downgrade as you desire. All NCCRcycles frames use a Pinion gearbox bracket for instance. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to have a Pinion. We can of course instead provide you with our Pinion adapter, so you can use a normal bottom bracket. All our bikes can be equipped with a neodrives hubmotor, but you don’t have to have one right away. You can choose all the way from Single Speed up to neodrives + Pinion gearbox and any combination thereof. Another choice you have is different tail sections, because they’re bolted on instead of welded. The Cargobike Packoped comes with different beds/boxes/widths and can later-on still be changed, i.e. from 80cm wide to 1m wide, or from box to flatbed. The Adventure bike Gyttja has either a suspended fork or our own rigid fork and also there are lots of different up-/and downgrades depending on how and where you want to ride. All up-/downgrades are reversible, which gives you the possibility to adapt your bike according to your wishes.
