From Blue IKEA Bags to Better Space
Every product starts with friction. For Stashed Products, it was never just bikes—it was the damp kit, muddy shoes, and scattered gear that followed riders home.
For years, the solution was the same blue IKEA bag, stuffed and shoved into a corner. Practical, but never right. Kit stayed wet, things got lost, and getting ready for the next ride became harder than it needed to be.
Founder Elliot Tanner saw the gap. Bikes had proper storage; everything around them didn’t. The question became: how do you create storage that supports real routines, not ideal ones?
That question became LodeStar. Working with Pete from R&D, the team focused on what actually happens when riders come home—tired, wet, looking for the simplest place to drop everything. The system needed to work without thought, yet hold up over time.
Development centered on observing real behavior. Most storage assumes careful organization; real life is messier. LodeStar reduces friction at every stage—easy to install, intuitive to use, simple to reconfigure as needs change.
The result is a platform, not a single product. Rails and boards form the foundation; attachments let riders build setups that evolve with their habits and spaces. Durability was non-negotiable—every component tested for years of daily use, real weight, real environments.
What began with a damp pile of kit and a blue IKEA bag became something more considered. LodeStar brings clarity to clutter, simplifying the moments before and after every ride. It treats the space around your bike with the same care as the bike itself—moving beyond temporary fixes toward something built to last.
It all started with a bag in the corner, quietly proving there had to be a better way.
We have everything ready for the must have talk at Copenhagen bike show.
