Bike2.0

Bike 2.0 is a recumbent bicycle that drives the front wheel with a short chain, where pedalling does not affect steering. The frame surrounds the rider’s head and torso.

Safer.

The rider sits low with their feet forward. Head and torso protected by the frame.

The foot brake acts on the front wheel, providing one third of the braking distance

compared to a regular bicycle without the risk of the bicycle tipping over.

Less effort at the same speed compared to regular bicycles.

The recumbent position reduces air resistance to 40% of a regular bicycle. The effort required to reach 20 km/h on a regular bicycle is sufficient to reach 30 km/h on a recumbent bicycle. This is 5 km/h faster than a legal electric bicycle can reach with power assistance. You can cycle at electric bicycle speed with less effort than 20 km/h on a regular bicycle.

Comfort.

The seat, backrest and headrest distribute the rider’s weight over a much larger area than just a saddle.

Maintenance like a regular bicycle.

Front-wheel drive provides a short chain like on a regular bicycle. Recumbent bicycles

usually have the pedals at the front and drive the rear wheel, with a very long chain between them. A standard three-speed hub gear requires little maintenance.

Lighter and cheaper than other recumbent bicycles.

The frame surrounding the rider stiffens the construction so that smaller tube dimensions can be used than on a regular recumbent bicycle. This makes it lighter and cheaper while also protecting the rider.

Longer season and greater usability

Three wheels and low air resistance mean that the bicycle can be used for longer journeys and can be used all year round.
