DKBIKE Gravel Wide
Do you ride gravel on all terrains? Asphalt, hard-packed gravel roads, forest trails, sand, and very muddy or loose surfaces?
Our newest Gravel wheels are here: DKBIKE Gravel Wide. Why Gravel Wide? Because with this carbon gravel wheelset, you get an even wider external as well as internal profile.
Wheels shouldn’t be too narrow or too wide. Wheels that are too narrow prevent tires from forming as intended and limit your options for larger tire widths. On the other hand, wheels that are too wide may also cause tires to shape differently than they should, result in heavier wheels, and generally be harder to handle.
Beyond external and internal width, finding the perfect profile (rim height) is just as important. Again, the mantra is: neither too low nor too high. A low profile primarily affects aesthetics but also the experience when riding on paved roads or hard-packed surfaces like firm gravel, where forward momentum can be slightly less compared to higher profiles. Conversely, a profile that’s too high can increase wind sensitivity and add extra weight.
In other words, it’s all about finding the so-called “sweet spot” between wheels that are too narrow or wide and profiles that are too low or high. We believe we’ve achieved just that with our DKBIKE Gravel Wide wheels.
