Our commitments extend beyond traditional security solutions. For years we have been manufacturing a variety of high-quality helmets, including Kids, Urban, MTB and Road cycling helmet. In 2016, we optimized our road helmets further, by producing our helmets in Italy – ensuring Italian quality and good design.
We prioritize safety through testing, and to ensure the best performance we have partnered with the Movistar Team to continually enhance and refine our helmets.
In 2024, ABUS marks a century of securing lives. Founded by August Bremicker and his sons in 1924 in a small village in Germany – Volmarstein an der Ruhr, ABUS created its first Iron lock padlock. Since then, we have evolved into a global company with around 4000 employees worldwide. Despite the growth, ABUS remains a family-owned business, and is currently managed by the fourth and fifth generation of the Bremicker family.
In addition to five production locations in Germany, ABUS has around 25 branches in Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Asia.
