Watch ‘Dare to Win’ with Moser

by

Scandinavian premiere of the movie

The iconic Italian cyclist Francesco Moser is a legend on two wheels, born and raised in Trentino, Italy, but known all over the world.

In connection with his visit to Copenhagen Bike Show 2025, we have managed to get permission to show the film, which is the first time it happens in Scandinavia.

He was called ‘Lo sceriffo’ (The Sheriff), probably due to his dominance from the mid-1970s to the mid-80s, winning the 1977 World Championships, Paris-Roubaix (three times in a row), Milan-San Remo, Giro d’Italia and dozens of other important races.

Towards the end of his career, he broke Eddy Merckx’s long-standing hour record in Mexico City.

Produced by Luca Dal Bosco, the film looks back at his amazing career. From his humble beginnings, to his status as a great champion, the film follows the charismatic ‘campione’ for a year to create a unique portrait of the man, his family and the small town (Palù di Giovo) where he still lives.

“An unvarnished portrait of the great master, telling the story of his life and career in an unexpected way,” explains director Nello Correale.

A unique tale of human adventure, Moser: Dare to Win reveals Moser’s deep ties to his homeland and relives his exploits in the company of other iconic champions like Eddy Merckx, Giuseppe Saronni and Bernard Hinault.

The movie is in Italian, and is shown with English subtitles.

It will be shown on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Copenhagen Bike Show.
The time is still to be determined, as this must be adapted to Francesco’s interview on stage.
